Question by : Hair dye question….?
Okay so about 7 months ago I dyed my hair black. Well, in June I tried to dye underneath a purplish redis color and the roots and about an inch of my hair took to the color. So, I waited six weeks then tried to dye it a lighter brown. The roots and about 3 inches of my hair took to the color. I haven’t tried again since. The rest of the black is fading out and its going back to my natural hair color. Undernaeth where I dyed it is still a lightish brown. I’ve been wanting to dye underneth red. Not like a really bright Hayley Williams hair red but kind of like a darker red. So my question is will the dye take if I don’t strip the rest of the black out first? I really don’t want to strip the color out, but if I have to I will. Thank you!!

black is the DARKEST of hair colors…you can’t put a lighter dye on top of it without removing the black first. try color oops on the part of the black you want to dye red.

You can try these online freelancer sites. Gotta warn you, though, because they take a % of the programming charge as payment, some don’t permit loosy-goosey deals such as profit-sharing (they want to get paid even if there are no down-the-road profits).
